Cortiva Institute is a network of massage therapy and skin care schools throughout the United States and is owned by Steiner Education Group. It was recently announced that they will be discontinuing enrollment at over half of their locations statewide, mostly in the western states. There hasn’t been very much news/press about this massive down-scaling, but here is what we have been able to find across the web.

If you take a look at the ‘Locations’ page on cortiva.edu you will see the following.
All of the locations in light grey are those that are no longer enrolling students, and we can only assume will be closed in the near future. The accrediting institution COMTA has issued a press release regarding some of the details of a handful of Cortiva branch closures.
Online Cortiva Closing Schools Buzz
Some less reliable sources, such as Quora and Glassdoor (both of which are public posting platforms) have users posting to them hinting at the mass closure as well. Apparently, Cortiva closing schools is shocking, but not so shocking to some of its past students and employees.
The Good News
We at Rennaisance College Massage Program are accepting any Cortiva Students and will transfer their credits. We will transfer the hourly credits, up to 250 hours, that they took at Cortiva.
