Medical Massage Program is a 250 Hours Program. Treatment is specifically directed to the conditions that have been diagnosed by a Physician and the therapist should focus that treatment on the areas of the body related to the diagnosis. The client may come in 2-3 times a week for 3-6 weeks Medical massage is billed in 15 minute segments using current procedural terminology and adhering to the reimbursement fee schedule. The therapist then should refer the client back to the attending physician for a checkup. This relationship you build with the physician is important.
Medical physicians are a great source of referrals, also chiropractors. Psychiatrist can write a prescription for stress management. The client may return for maintenance after the prescription has ended. Renaissance College will train therapist in each of the areas that physicians may diagnose for treatment. Billing codes and procedures will be taught in the Medical Massage Program for insurance companies. Our Medical Massage Program is 20 weeks, 10 hours a week. Students will have experience in the cadaver lab and physician’s office. 30 hours of clinic will be required. 1 and ½ hours a week. Program will begin March 20, 2015. Call 801-949-3318 to Enroll.
